Postdoctoral Positions in Computational Biophysics and AI for Biomolecular Science

The Lin Research Group at North Carolina State University is seeking 1–2 Postdoctoral Research Scholars to study biomolecular structure, dynamics, interactions, and function using molecular simulation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven modeling.

Research opportunities include:

  • Predictive modeling and design of protein–DNA, protein–RNA, and oligonucleotide aptamer interactions
  • RNA conformational dynamics and protein–RNA phase separation
  • Multiscale modeling of chromatin organization
  • Development of physics-based and AI-enabled methods for biomolecular prediction and design

Candidates should hold a Ph.D., or expect to complete one before starting, in physics, chemistry, biophysics, computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field. Applicants with expertise in biomolecular simulation, AI for biomolecular science, or an integration of both are encouraged to apply. Strong scientific programming, communication, and collaborative skills are required.

Applicants are encouraged to contact Xingcheng_Lin@ncsu.edu directly to initiate a conversation and arrange an interview. Please include a CV, a cover letter describing your research accomplishments and fit with the position, and contact information for at least three professional references. Applicants may also review the position details and submit their materials through the official NC State job posting. Applications will be reviewed immediately and on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
